Feeling unmotivated

Perhaps it's because it's only 9am and I'm only on my first cup of coffee. I really want to get all this work done today so that I don't have to worry about it in the future... But if I didn't get it done today and just sat around knitting and watching TV I would feel reeeeeaaaallly happy... even if it made me stressed out later. Ah it is raining and I want to hide under a blanket and watch bad daytime TV- not write 3 papers.
Time for more coffee and psyching myself up to do work.

Garlic Festival

So, The annual Garlic Festival in Saugerties is quite a sight to see. The crowds were bigger than any amusement park I've ever been to! Jason and I went unsure of what to expect but it was AWESOME. And garlic scapes are my favorite.
I ate:
* garlic ice cream
* chocolate covered garlic
* garlic scapes
* garlic olives
* garlic pickles

I did not barf. But I did have to brush my teeth for 10 minutes straight.

So here is the photodocumentation:

Screw being Tulip Queen, I'll be Garlic Queen! Jason got his picture taken too but I'll save him the embarassment of posting it.

This is a mystery... no beans here... what does it mean... and it's a lying sign because I was there.

There was lots of cute stuff at the garlic festival. We found a stand of wooden toys that you could paint yourself. They were supposed to be for 8 year olds but I wanted to paint the dinosaur. Here is Jason with the unpainted dinosaur... he looks kind of upset, but he is not. Pictures of the painted dinosaur to follow shortly.

So then we went back to the BGF and ate more garlic pickles and pumpkin butter (and also cosmos and flan). And painted our dinosaur! Here Miguel and I are chillin'.

An action shot of me eating pickles.

The letter of the day is B

Bears, Banjo, and BEAN!

So a few weeks ago Melissa, Joe, Jason and I went to the NYS Museum and saw Mastodonts and BEARS!!!!

Then this past weekend Joe taught me how to play the banjo. Joe is a great teacher!!!

And so I played at Larkfest and it was awesome. Mad friends (librarians too!) came down to chill! Yay!

Tres crazy

I had a good day today! ::knocks on wood:: There were cookies, and a fun class, and getting out of class early!
I wanted to get some school work done but I haven't really learned enough yet to do the work without probably having to do it over or at least wanting to do it over because I will get new ideas... so instead I blog.
So reminder, Larkfest is this Saturday... I'll be playing at 1pm on the local stage.
Melissa posted this on myspace so I figured I'd post it here because it's neat and also I like to fill out forms.

Full Moon

It was a full moon yesterday! Wow this world is crazy! Today everything got better though. I talked to a lovely woman on the Cingular Customer Service line and she fixed my text messages. A thousand apologies to everyone who's messages I missed over the past 5 days.
I am mastering my CD this weekend.... Whoa! Jared and Harith are amazing. We are creating an awesome record. You all better buy one when they come out and help save me from being a starving artist. This weekend Joe and I are adding some tracks and Meg (oh my amazing Meg!!) is going to add her loveliness to the album.
I am so thrilled for Melissa and her amazing art. Fiber arts rule, come to her (fiber) art debut! Friday night (tonight!)! 6 to 9 p.m. Kismet Gallery. 4th & Broadway! Troy!
SO after an adventure today with Melissa, and recording tomorrow, I may go visit my "friend"'s big gay farm as well. That is a cool weekend. Now I just have to get in gear with school- yikes!
School seems neat so far... there are some really neat professors, no real crazy ones (yet). I know my stats professor is awesome, so that takes a little of the edge off. Though, incase you haven't noticed by now... I tend to freak out and think I'm going to fail and then end up getting straight A's. You'd think I'd learn after 6 years of school that the freaking out thing isn't necessary. Sigh.
Melissa took this lovely picture of our last night with Becca. Shout out to Becca wherever she may be now- I hope she's checking in. LOVE!
