C is for cookie

I'm playing a show this Sunday( the 25th!). Come on down. It's free... but buy some cookies. This is what was written in the Metroland about it:

The Bake Sale

Lark Tavern, Sunday

The Rev Records, a new local re- cord label founded by local mover and shaker Harith Abdullah, is initiating a monthly performance series to be held at the Lark Tavern on the last Tuesday of every month. This Sunday there will be a concert and bake sale (yes, you read that correctly) to kick off the series. The featured performers (all Rev artists) are Laura Boggs (whose recent CD, Whiskey & Springtime, was released in November), Tom McWatters, Matt McWatters, Jared Funari, Bessam Sam, the Xylophones, and Sgt. Dunbar and the Hobo Banned. The party will continue post-live-music with the help of DJ Lady Luck. So join the cast of the Rev Records’ family and buy my treats (unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that there will be “special” brownies available). All proceeds go to support the label. Also: We heard rumors of a rock-paper-scissors tournament taking place, but don’t quote us on that. (March 25, 8 PM, free, 453 Madison Ave., Albany, 463-9779)

Jobs! And knitting!

So I've been going out of my mind applying for jobs! So many things to do. That on top of my internships, work, and playing a show this Sunday at the Lark Tavern (7pm, be there or be square!) It's a benefit for The Rev Records :)

Today I went into work at 7:30, left at noon to stop and pick up letters of recommendation (woohoo!) went home to find that I misplaced my Social Studies certification... so went to Saint Rose and updated my credential file... then went back to work where I found my certification... went to Office Max and bought envelopes... and copied my certification... then came home, learned a song to sing to the kiddies tomorrow... I have to go dig in the back yard for dirt for our science experiment too... I don't know if that's going to happen with the foot of snow out there...

I made these lovely arm warmers for my Aunt Nan's birthday earlier this month! Here I model them!

Good to hear!

Good to hear that Becca is doing well. She sent me her pictures from before she left and her travles in MO and Guatemala. Super duper- just wish that she could come back to albany for a visit too. The wine bar and knitting miss her :(

Here is a pic she snapped of some of the knitters outside the establishment. We look like members of the Jets, who's messing with us on our turf- we say...

You want some of this, biatches?

Women's History Month!

Well, I didn't take any pictures at the parting glass show- though it was a lot of fun. But I did take some pictures of the Women's History Month display I made at the high school library. Priorities, right?

Anyway- check it out:)
